Position Overview

Link Solutions is in search of a Senior Systems Analyst to become a vital member of our team.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Hybrid work model permitted (in-office presence required 1-2 days weekly).
  • Security clearance is mandatory (Public Trust or Secret Clearance).
The Senior Systems Analyst will manage cybersecurity operations, system upkeep, and network assistance. This role is crucial for advancing various initiatives. The analyst will be responsible for delivering extensive cyber services and solutions, along with strong technical and managerial support. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the operational integrity and security of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and sustain operating systems, server hardware, and software applications.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
  • Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Implement and uphold network security protocols.
  • Provide technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software challenges.
  • Address and resolve helpdesk tickets and user-reported issues.
  • Establish and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Regularly test and verify backup systems.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular security audits and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate and apply software updates and patches to servers and workstations.
  • Ensure systems are current with the latest security updates.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and update IT infrastructure documentation.
  • Monitor system resources and plan for capacity expansion as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Security clearance is necessary (Public Trust or Secret Clearance).
  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or four years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in cybersecurity and IT systems management.
  • Proven track record in maintaining and securing IT infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with design, development, testing, evaluation, network protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX/Windows-based operating systems.
  • Experience in implementing security measures and monitoring systems for potential threats.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's in Software Engineering (PSEM) or Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) with vendor/platform-specific certification: Certified Information Systems Security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
  • Proficient in multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational capabilities.
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communication with all management levels.
