Project Manager (Electronic Security)

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the scope, timeline, budget, quality, and client satisfaction of projects throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to closure. Your role will heavily involve effective communication with all project stakeholders.

You will be responsible for managing and executing project management functions on all client site projects, including budgets and scopes. This position entails directing a diverse range of internal and external personnel.

Daily Tasks Include:

Managing project communications, scheduling, technician task lists, and ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations. You will be accountable for completing systems integration projects on time and within budget while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. Your primary focus will be on project management and stakeholder communication, adhering to and enhancing established processes.

As the main point of contact for clients, you will cultivate strong, long-term relationships, managing expectations, communications, and overall satisfaction.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Provide clear leadership and ownership for projects, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Coordinate all activities for the successful, on-budget completion of projects, including stakeholder engagement and meeting facilitation.
  • Ensure frequent communication among stakeholders and support team members to foster success.
  • Direct technical and administrative support to project teams and maintain project schedules.
  • Conduct field verification of work sites and document any issues, keeping all parties informed.
  • Manage documentation and drawings among all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate design reviews to ensure proper field documentation and oversee system programming and final checks.
  • Provide a list of remaining tasks post-completion and coordinate project turnover to clients and service departments.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve exposure to construction site conditions. Employees are responsible for their safety and must comply with all safety regulations. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is typically required. The role may require mobility around construction sites and the ability to lift materials up to 20 pounds. Regular use of keyboards and test equipment is necessary.

Travel Requirements:

Frequent travel by car and occasional air travel will be necessary. A valid driver's license is required. Local travel to client sites will constitute the majority of travel, with minimal remote travel expected.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic security systems is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
  • Certification as a Security Project Manager.
  • Knowledge of Lenel, Genetec, and Avigilon certifications.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is preferred.
