Position Summary:

The Commercial Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of commercial installation projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within financial parameters. This role involves maintaining key client relationships and managing significant projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Vector Security's quality standards, policies, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and complete projects on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage modifications to project scope, timelines, and costs.
  • Create detailed project plans to monitor and track progress, maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Gather necessary information and submit applications for required permits.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party subcontractors for the execution of multiple projects.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with third-party vendors and subcontractors.
  • Support the sales team with pre-sale job assessments, system design, and labor estimation.
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, ensuring technical feasibility with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage resource requirements and availability, ensuring proper allocation of both internal team members and subcontractors.
  • Oversee equipment orders and logistics for project needs.
  • Collaborate with the installation coordinator to ensure timely job setup and equipment procurement.
  • Negotiate subcontractor labor pricing for projects.
  • Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths and expertise.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for installation and service technicians as required.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and necessary project closeout documentation.
  • Ensure successful implementation of systems, training, and project handover to clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School Equivalency required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Alarm, Low Voltage, and Commercial Fire systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Experience with Access Control and CCTV systems.
  • NICET Level 1 certification required.
  • Experience in team management or supervision.
  • Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes.
