About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Project Engineer to join our team at Okland Construction. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of healthcare construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Administration: Utilize and maintain company-standard project administration software, Procore, and Okland forms to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Assist the superintendent in verifying that all materials installed coincide with approved submittals, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Submittal and RFI Management: Receive and create RFIs based on field issues or document discrepancies, review with the project team, and forward to the design team.
  • Change Order Management: Process change orders, including creating submittal schedules and logs, reviewing submittals for compliance with plans and specifications, and maintaining logs of outstanding submittals and rejected submittals.
  • Communication and Coordination: Develop and regularly update meeting agendas with the project team, record and compile meeting notes, and distribute to the project team.
  • Project Closeout: Ensure that the project site and construction activities are constantly documented in writing and especially in photos, file hard or electronic inspection reports, test reports, etc.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of related experience working on commercial construction projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques, as well as applicable local, state, and federal building codes, general knowledge of LEED principles, and proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
