Position Summary:

  • Role focused on inbound communications within a healthcare contact center.
  • Handle phone and message inquiries from patients and their caregivers as they navigate a multifaceted healthcare landscape, addressing needs related to insurance, billing, and appointment scheduling.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in navigating healthcare topics, including medical records, authorizations, referrals, and coordinating care among various care partners such as pharmacies, specialists, and insurance providers.
  • Work alongside healthcare providers and operational team members to address urgent tasks effectively.
  • Utilize the C-I-CARE framework to ensure exceptional interactions and communication with patients, fostering a positive virtual experience through phone, messaging, or in-system communications.
  • Become adept with our technology suite, including Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and the Electronic Medical Record System 1Life, to facilitate interactions with team members and patients while completing daily responsibilities.
  • Engage in team development activities, including rounding, attending team meetings, contributing to problem-solving initiatives, and supporting in-office providers with various tasks.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume contact center environment, coupled with a minimum of 1 additional year in direct customer service roles (such as banking, hospitality, or food service).

OR

  • 2 years of experience in patient-facing healthcare service positions (e.g., Patient Access Representatives, Claims Processors, Pharmacy Benefits Technicians).
  • This experience should be recent, within the last 4 years.
  • Average tenure of 1 year in previous roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong phone demeanor.
  • Proficient multitasking abilities, capable of using computers and phones while navigating multiple software systems concurrently.
