- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to both new and existing patients, addressing inquiries and providing authorized information as needed.
- Appointment Management: Schedule patient appointments and necessary tests, ensuring all patient information is accurately recorded in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Patient Registration: Verify patient demographics and health insurance details, conducting eligibility checks to confirm coverage.
- Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and outstanding balances from patients, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Pre-Visit Planning: Conduct daily preparations for upcoming appointments, including insurance eligibility verification and obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Outreach: Engage with select patient groups for care management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative supply management and follow up on any outstanding documentation or claims.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence. Experience with EMR systems is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Education & ExperienceA high school diploma or equivalent is required, with one to three years of experience in a medical administrative role preferred.
