POSITION SUMMARY:

The Proposal Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in advancing the business development initiatives of Caliente Construction by spearheading the response to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) and preparing for subsequent interviews, along with other marketing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an adept and imaginative writer who possesses a keen interest in the company's objectives and can effectively convert that knowledge into compelling strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates the creative development and production of marketing materials, including RFQ/RFP responses, presentations, and other marketing collateral.
  • Monitors RFQ opportunities through vendor platforms and various databases, evaluating the requirements of RFPs.
  • Conducts research to craft value-driven responses for construction methodologies, incorporating insights from project team members and addressing the specific needs of each client.
  • Assists in developing the written and visual strategy for both public and private proposals, skillfully narrating stories about clients, team members, projects, and Caliente as a whole.
  • Ensures adherence to RFQ/RFP guidelines and coordinates the physical and/or digital submission of proposals and prequalification documents.
  • Participates in proposal pre-submission meetings and organizes attendance for other team members as needed.
  • Produces original written content for proposals in collaboration with team members, including resumes, organizational charts, and other specialized sections.
  • Develops interview strategies and prepares the project team for interviews.
  • Organizes and maintains all proposal and marketing data, including details on prospects, clients, competitors, and reference materials in CRM software.
  • Attends client debriefs as necessary.
  • Assists in coordinating events for trade shows, conferences, open houses, and other company functions.
  • Supports general office needs with the design and production of collateral items such as report covers, banners, advertisements, and other design requirements.
  • Cross-trains other marketing team members as required.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in proposal and graphic design within the architectural/engineering/construction (AEC) sector.
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and MS Office; familiarity with CRM software and construction programs is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to enhance Caliente's brand through high-quality textual and visual storytelling.
  • Strong marketing background with a willingness to innovate and implement creative strategies to maintain the company's 'Best in Class' status.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the capacity to transform technical information into engaging narratives.
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering quality results.
  • Organized and dependable, with strong time management and planning skills to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Team-oriented, recognizing the impact of individual contributions on overall team success.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and flexible with changes to planned tasks or schedules.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week or more, if necessary.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
  • May require repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • May involve prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing throughout the workday.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of insurability are required when job duties necessitate the use of a motor vehicle.
  • Must exercise discretion in decision-making and maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant, employee, and company proprietary information.
