Anticipated Hiring Salary:
$5,546.67 per month
This is a full-time, exempt position. Employees are expected to perform their duties onsite.

Some roles may allow for remote work, one day per week, in accordance with the university's remote work policies.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Facilities, the Athletic Events and Facilities Manager will oversee the coordination of all facility and event operations for designated events within athletic venues, including those organized by non-athletic, on-campus groups and external organizations.

The incumbent will manage event scheduling, setup, and breakdown, while supervising all contracted groups during events. Additionally, the role entails ensuring the maintenance and condition of assigned facilities. This position will also involve supervising part-time and temporary staff members who assist with event and facility operations. Duties may require working evenings and weekends.
Key Qualifications
Experience in managing safety and crowd control for large gatherings.
Proficient understanding of facility setup in accordance with collegiate regulations.

Possession of strong interpersonal skills, professional tact, and the ability to interpret complex concepts and effectively communicate them to educate others.

Excellent organizational abilities.

Ability to:
Work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
Consistently lift 25lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
Function efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with coaches, staff, and administration.
Exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in carrying out responsibilities.
Prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
Demonstrate a commitment to equity and diversity within the department.
Effectively collaborate with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Maintain a history of regular attendance and positive performance evaluations.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma.
Two years of experience in an athletic event coordination role across multiple venues.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in facility maintenance, management, setup, and staffing.
Experience in the assignment and oversight of part-time and temporary staff.
Proficient in computer applications.
