Position Overview
As a Revenue Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of The Athletic, a leading digital sports media company. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional sports storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules efficiently and accurately.
2. Process monthly customer invoices in a timely manner.
3. Track customer cash receipts meticulously, assist in collections, and provide weekly analyses of accounts receivable balances.
4. Collaborate closely with Sales and Business Development teams to support invoicing and related inquiries.
5. Ensure that daily operational requirements are met with precision.
6. Participate in ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required; candidates in the process of obtaining certification are encouraged to apply.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, complemented by excellent analytical abilities.
- Self-motivated individual capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and solving problems effectively.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently.
