Role Overview:
The Chief Officer of Brand and Athlete Representation will spearhead initiatives and manage operations related to the education, programming, and administrative support for NCAA student-athletes and coaches, aimed at amplifying personal branding and securing brand representation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand and Athlete Representation:
Develop and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, including business partners, corporate sponsors, alumni, and supporters.
Act as the primary liaison for the NIL platform, collaborating with NCAA staff and student-athletes to optimize the platform's usage.
Serve as the main contact for external NIL organizations to enhance opportunities for student-athletes.Facilitate communication with external collectives; responsible for educating internal and external stakeholders on NIL principles and best practices.
Partner with alumni and campus entities in fundraising efforts and event coordination for athletics and student-athletes.
Maintain effective communication with alumni, donors, and external partners.
Support student-athletes in navigating NIL opportunities and serve as a bridge between them and external stakeholders.
Monitor all incoming NIL contributions, pledges, and donations directed towards NCAA student-athletes.
Ensure adherence to all NCAA regulations and institutional policies regarding NIL.
Promote and support NCAA athletic events and camps.
Assist student-athletes in developing and cultivating NIL opportunities.
Provide leadership and support for all educational and fundraising initiatives related to NIL.
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage an annual budget as designated by the Athletics Director, allocating funds towards marketing, education, training, and travel.
Teach a course focused on the transition of student-athletes to higher education within athletics.
Organize events on behalf of student-athletes to enhance NIL engagement.
Assist in gathering information related to NIL outcomes and integration for teams and individuals.
Celebrate the achievements of scholar-athletes, recognizing their successes and recommending them for scholarships and awards.
Oversee the nomination process for university, conference, and NCAA academic honors and scholarships.
Maintain a thorough understanding of and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations.
Complete required compliance training in a timely manner and report any potential violations immediately.
Assist with various duties and projects as assigned.Employment Conditions:
Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential.
Ability to work year-round and on holidays as needed.
Willingness to travel with teams when necessary.
Successful completion of background checks is required.
Compliance with health and safety protocols is strongly encouraged.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
A minimum of three years of experience in an intercollegiate athletic department or a related field is required.
Ideal candidates will possess knowledge of NCAA and NIL regulations, along with a strong understanding of college athletics fundraising and a holistic approach to student-athlete development.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's Degree is preferred.
Experience competing at the collegiate level is preferred.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I academic eligibility standards is preferred.
Performance Expectations - Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience in coordinating programs and activities; strong organizational and management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
Experience in both short-term and long-term planning with attention to administrative details.
Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, scholar-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Ability to manage a substantial workload during the academic year.
Proficiency in university software systems and standard office applications.
Certifications:
Heartsaver CPR/AED certification is required within six weeks of employment.
A valid driver's license is required within six weeks of employment.
Compensation:
$6,250.00 per month; Excellent Benefits
