Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Game Operations Specialist. This role requires a keen attention to detail and involves overseeing the setup, execution, and dismantling of all athletic events at designated venues. The specialist will also manage scoreboard operations with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare facilities for all athletic competitions.
  2. Set up and break down events.
  3. Assist with the management of games.
  4. Operate the shot clock, game clock, or scoreboard during events.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of or the ability to learn specific game protocols in accordance with high school regulations.
  6. Collaborate with game officials, Athletic Communications staff, and Event Management personnel during events.
  7. Exhibit quick observational skills and responsiveness to on-field/court activities.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Availability for competitions throughout the year, with a strong interest or background in athletics.
  3. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor.
  4. Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  5. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Commitment of 4 to 5 hours per game, with 3 to 4 games per week.
  8. Demonstrated cultural awareness and respect for diverse perspectives.

Compensation:

This is a seasonal, part-time position with a pay rate of $25 per hour.
