Clerical Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Assistant to join our team at The Hartford. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal assistants, including communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage electronic files, maintain office equipment, and perform various tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with overflow work, including scanning, case matching, mail handling, and photocopying.
  • Calendaring of court appearances and related events, and ensure accurate use of form letters and templates.
  • Schedule depositions with necessary parties.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated efficiency, productivity, and attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of Workers Compensation legal terminology is a plus.
  • Prior calendar management experience is required.
What We Offer:

The Hartford offers a competitive annualized base pay range of $32,000 - $48,000, as well as a comprehensive total compensation package, including short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
