BGIS is currently in search of a Compensation and Benefits Analyst to support our operations.

This role involves a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office twice a week.

The hourly wage for this non-exempt role in the United States ranges from $25 to $28.

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst plays a crucial role in the administration of employee health and welfare benefits, ensuring clear communication of benefits and policy details to team members and healthcare providers. This position collaborates closely with the HR department to facilitate benefit-related initiatives while embodying the core values of BGIS.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

  • Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including retirement plans, medical coverage, life insurance, and disability programs.
  • Serve as a liaison among employees, third-party administrators, and healthcare providers to relay benefits and policy information.
  • Support billing or coverage inquiries as necessary.
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding claims, plan modifications, or general inquiries.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of employee census data, including necessary data entry.
  • Assist with the annual open enrollment process.
  • Help manage the leave management program in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Prepare and process invoices for various benefit vendors.
  • Respond to information requests from both internal and external sources.
  • Contribute to the achievement of other key initiatives as assigned.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience along with two years of experience in Human Resources or benefits administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal and state benefit regulations.
  • Ability to handle detailed and complex data efficiently and accurately.
  • A strong sense of urgency and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with other HR specialties and contribute positively to team dynamics.
  • Effective time management skills to balance competing priorities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience with Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
  • Experience with Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
  • Knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave of Absence policies.
  • Familiarity with 401(k) plans.
  • Experience with Reference-Based Pricing.
  • Proficiency in VLOOKUP functions.
