At Amazon, our mission within the SPS Finance Insights & Analytics (FIA) team is to deliver comprehensive and precise data for financial and business reporting and analytics.
Role Overview
As a Financial Insights Analyst in FIA, you will engage with vast amounts of data to create automated and self-service scalable solutions for Finance and Business Partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and document specifications.
- Assemble the right project team, assign responsibilities, and develop milestones to ensure timely project delivery.
- Design and develop highly available dashboards and metrics using Quicksight, our business analytics platform.
- Conduct business analysis and execute data queries utilizing SQL, R, and other analytical tools.
Qualifications
Basic:
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Proficiency in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role.
- Proven ability to define requirements and leverage data and metrics to derive business insights.
- Experience in making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in Excel and data visualization tools.
- 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is determined by several factors including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
