POSITION SUMMARY:
ACRS is seeking a full-time Specialist II for the Senior Center Health & Wellness program. This role involves overseeing health and wellness initiatives at the Club Bamboo Senior Center and collaborating with various partners across the region.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with no weekend obligations. A competitive benefits package is offered, including a pay range of $28 to $30 per hour, with potential increases based on experience. ACRS covers a significant portion of medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with additional benefits such as paid time off and retirement savings options.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage enrollment and tracking of participants in health and wellness programs.
- Analyze attendance data to ensure program effectiveness and inclusivity.
- Maintain and enhance the MySeniorCenter database for accurate reporting.
- Create a welcoming environment for seniors, utilizing de-escalation techniques as necessary.
- Coordinate health and wellness activities at partner sites, ensuring compliance with program standards.
- Monitor participant engagement in physical activities to promote safety and well-being.
- Design and distribute promotional materials for health and wellness initiatives.
- Handle meal orders and manage billing processes accurately.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioral Science is preferred, or a combination of relevant education and experience in social services. Candidates should demonstrate cultural competency and effective communication skills, with a preference for fluency in an Asian or Pacific Islander language.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software is required, along with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires mobility within various locations, including offices and community centers. Candidates should be able to lift up to 20 pounds and have the ability to focus on detailed tasks.
