ACRS is seeking a full-time Specialist II- Senior Center Health & Wellness (in-person) responsible for the coordination of health and wellness initiatives and activities, including evidence-based and informed programs at the Club Bamboo Senior Center and affiliated partners throughout the region.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with no weekend obligations. We offer a competitive benefits package, with hourly pay ranging from $28 to $30, subject to experience, and potential increases after a designated period of employment. ACRS contributes significantly to medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as providing life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance from the start of employment. Additional benefits include a paid commuter card, free parking, and generous paid time off policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the enrollment, registration, and tracking of members participating in health and wellness programs at the Club Bamboo Senior Center.
- Collect and analyze attendance data, focusing on demographics such as age, race, ethnicity, and geographic location. - Assist in managing and enhancing the MySeniorCenter database, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements related to senior health initiatives. - Create a welcoming and secure environment for seniors, utilizing de-escalation techniques as necessary. - Coordinate health and wellness programming at partner sites, including participant registration, logistical planning, data collection, and providing information and assistance as needed. - Collaborate with various stakeholders, including the King County Department of Community and Human Services, to ensure adherence to health program standards. - Monitor client participation in physical activities to ensure safety and well-being. - Engage with members and families regarding safety and risk management during program participation. - Design and distribute promotional materials for Senior Health and Wellness initiatives across various platforms. - Manage meal orders and ensure accurate billing for programs. - Attend all relevant meetings and training sessions, and perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Science; OR a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with three years of social service experience; OR an Associate's degree in Social Science with five years of relevant experience.
- Ability to deliver quality care and services that respect diverse cultural beliefs and practices. - Preferred fluency in an Asian/Pacific Islander language. - Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software, including Microsoft Office for various tasks. - Reliable transportation is required, along with a valid driver's license and appropriate insurance if using a personal vehicle for work-related duties.Work Environment:
- Regular movement within the office, senior center, and other locations is required, including data entry and document handling.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be necessary for setting up activities and managing supplies. - Specific vision abilities required include close vision for data entry and document review.
