Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
This position reports to the Quality Manager and collaborates closely with Quality Team members as well as various cross-functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the manager in developing, implementing, and sustaining the quality management system.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality framework.
Monitor quality performance from customers, including interactions and development with suppliers or clients.
Address and communicate both internally and externally regarding customer quality concerns, including providing updates on the status of corrective actions.
Lead the coordination of containment issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for process-related challenges.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production) to resolve customer quality issues, ensuring timely resolutions, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
Engage in or lead problem-solving teams as designated, analyzing failures and corrective and preventive actions to address customer complaints.
Support the quality inspection process to guarantee that products and processes meet the relevant standards of the quality management system.
Contribute to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) objectives. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field is required. 1-3 years of relevant experience in an automotive manufacturing setting is preferred.
Experience with high-volume production processes is advantageous.
Basic skills in metrology, blueprint reading, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) are necessary.
Proficiency in computer applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office work environment.
- Manufacturing environment with temperature variations (warmer in summer, cooler in winter). Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lighting.
- Compliance with safety requirements, including the use of company-issued personal protective equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance).
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Sitting for prolonged durations.
- Frequent bending and reaching with arms extended forward or above shoulder level.
- Capacity to maintain focus for extended periods.
- Aptitude for multitasking.
- Capability to analyze information and identify problems.
