Senior Civil Engineering Manager
Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) stands as a premier engineering consultancy specializing in power systems. We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves the comprehensive management and coordination of civil engineering projects related to substation and transmission line infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing grading design for site development
  • Conducting stormwater management research and design
  • Preparing hydrology reports and other stormwater documentation based on project requirements
  • Performing storm drain evaluations
  • Designing access roads, including both paved and unpaved sections, and conducting vehicle maneuvering analyses

In addition to technical responsibilities, the role encompasses project management duties such as:

  • Defining project scope and objectives
  • Budgeting and financial oversight
  • Scheduling and timeline management
  • Proposal development
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting
  • Ensuring quality control and supervising both internal and subcontracted teams engaged in detailed design tasks

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of project management experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Attention to detail and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment are crucial. A California Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, as is experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Familiarity with retaining wall design, public improvement projects, permitting processes, and jurisdiction-specific planning is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates must be eligible to work without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
