About the Role
We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Process Engineering Specialist to join our growing team. This role is essential for providing effective solutions for our mining initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in gold and base metals, with experience in detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and/or operations.

  • Lead a team of process engineers to develop process deliverables throughout various project phases, including studies, basic, and detailed engineering, ensuring compliance with project specifications and Ausenco standards.
  • Facilitate the integration of multidisciplinary engineering design by collaborating with other engineering sectors, both within the organization and with clients, during the creation of engineering deliverables.
  • Keep updated on the latest advancements in process technology.
  • Manage budgeting and resource forecasting for the process study scope.
  • Engage with and contribute to the Global Ausenco Process Team.
  • Incorporate innovation and lean methodologies into process designs.
  • Uphold Ausenco's corporate image at marketing events and conferences.
  • Exhibit leadership in adhering to industry safety standards.

About You
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in mineral concentrator and/or hydrometallurgical plant design, including study delivery phases (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, trade-offs, basic and detailed engineering), with a preference for experience in gold, silver, copper, base metals, and battery metals processing.
  • Field experience in construction, commissioning, and/or operations is advantageous.
  • Experience in a consulting engineering role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including project management skills and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to communicate and coordinate technical matters with clients effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity in delivering engineering solutions.
  • Ability to effectively convey field and engineering insights to other process staff and design activities.
  • Capacity to align with Ausenco's corporate culture and the business cultures of our clients.
