About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Embassy Suites Nashville Downtown. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and executing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving products, to maintain optimal kitchen supplies
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the culinary experience
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure high-quality food presentation and presentation
Requirements
  • College degree or certification in culinary arts or hospitality management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent knowledge of various culinary techniques and cuisines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
