About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Embassy Suites Nashville Downtown. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and executing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus, recipes, and kitchen procedures.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and coaching of kitchen staff to ensure a high level of service and quality.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving products, to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection and presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, kitchen staff, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
  • College degree or certification in culinary arts or hospitality management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Knowledge of a variety of culinary techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
