About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Kimpton Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our pastry dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in the planning, preparation, and presentation of pastry dishes
  • Lead and train kitchen staff in pastry preparation and presentation techniques
  • Develop and implement new pastry recipes and menu items
  • Ensure high-quality standards are met in all pastry dishes
  • Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience as a Pastry Sous Chef in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Science or related field
  • Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods and ingredients
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
