Job Summary

Mesa Energy Systems, a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., is seeking a skilled Project Manager I to oversee the management of HVAC projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, maintaining a strong and trained workforce, and providing administrative and technical direction to staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Prepare quarterly financial forecasts, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company financial goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of technical employees, maintain a strong and disciplined workforce, and provide administrative and technical direction.
  • Operations Management: Manage the overall operations of the contract, including daily operations, scheduled maintenance, and administration of subcontracts.
  • Financial Management: Evaluate and ensure the efficient operation of the project, controlling operational expenses while maintaining sound maintenance practices and contractual requirements.
  • Communication: Provide administrative and technical direction to staff, discuss and plan major project assignments, and determine building priorities.
  • Maintenance and Upkeep: Ensure proper upkeep of facilities, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitation, and general appearance of buildings and grounds.
  • Supply Chain Management: Coordinate the purchase of necessary supplies, equipment, and services from appropriate sources and maintain proper inventory control.
  • Collaboration: Maintain liaison with architects, engineers, and contractors/subcontractors engaged in plant expansion, renovation, or other major projects.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain sufficient records, files, controls, and procedures to ensure management and work production.
  • Training and Development: Develop training sessions for employees who require them and maintain a strong safety program.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction discipline.
  • Experience: 2+ years of demonstrated experience managing HVAC projects, including submitting written proposals, scopes of work, scheduling, and coordinating site contractors.
  • Skills: Strong experience with Windows and MS Office, demonstrated skill at developing and nurturing client relationships, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk throughout a large facility, including climbing stairs and walking on catwalks.
