Position Summary:

As a dedicated HVAC and Refrigeration service provider, we deliver comprehensive solutions for preventive maintenance and repair, as well as upgrading existing HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Role: Field Service Technician – HVAC and Refrigeration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on refrigeration systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
  • Interpret and understand electrical schematics effectively.
  • Possess a solid understanding of building blueprints.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians.
  • Maintain organization and efficiency while working under pressure.
  • Adhere to safe work practices in compliance with OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in preventive maintenance for refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Commercial HVAC experience is essential.
  • Possession of Refrigeration EPA R410A certification.
  • Proven skills in HVAC and refrigeration installation, including but not limited to walk-ins, mobile chillers, HVAC condensers, motors, and coils.
  • Advanced skills in refrigeration diagnostics and repair.
  • Proficient in brazing and soldering techniques.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance at a technician level.
  • Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Ability to utilize hand and power tools relevant to job assignments.
  • Capable of removing and replacing existing refrigeration and HVAC systems independently.
  • Experience in installing HVAC systems in new construction projects from rough-in to startup.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication across all management levels.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of job site safety protocols.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of tools and equipment necessary for all work assignments.
  • Physical capability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights and climb ladders as required.
  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.

Job Specifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining similar commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification.
  • Proficient in using desktop computers and internet-based programs for required training.
  • A valid vehicle operator's license is mandatory.
  • Must maintain a good driving record.
