Job Overview

Position Summary

The Senior HVAC Installation Technician plays a crucial role in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and organizational standards. This position involves working on HVAC systems for both residential and commercial clients, including the installation of furnaces, air handlers, indoor coils, UV lights, air purifiers, and dehumidifiers, with minimal supervision. As a senior member of the team, this role is expected to mentor and guide junior HVAC technicians, helping them acquire the necessary skills for effective installation.

Incentive: $1,000 Hiring Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the installation of HVAC systems in accordance with company protocols and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct wiring for both low and high voltage systems related to heating and cooling equipment.
  • Install copper refrigerant lines for air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering tasks.
  • Set up flex and sheet metal ductwork in both light commercial and residential environments.
  • Ensure proper connection of gas lines to heating systems.
  • Assess and determine the appropriate materials needed for installation by pre-measuring project requirements.
  • Receive and verify all materials and equipment necessary for each assignment, ensuring they are loaded into the company vehicle.
  • Support fellow team members to ensure timely completion of tasks as directed by management.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation for each project.
  • Perform equipment readings with a comprehensive understanding of their implications.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the assigned company vehicle.
  • Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in HVAC installation.
  • High School Diploma or GED; EPA certification is advantageous.
  • Capability to safely lift items weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or kneel as required.
  • Successful completion of at least one NATE certification exam.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to differentiate between various HVAC systems.
  • Self-driven individual with the capacity to follow directions and work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.

Additional Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
  • Must have personal hand tools.
