Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Capstone Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving partner satisfaction and organizational focus on delivering operational excellence and exceeding partner expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize Operational Efficiencies: Use defined metrics to continuously improve operational performance while optimizing both company and partner measures.
  • Ensure Partner Satisfaction: Regularly communicate and execute internal and external key performance indicators to ensure partner satisfaction.
  • Culture of Safety: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, monitor warehouse safety, physical security, and operational metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Develop and maintain a culture of continuous process improvement that supports our pay-for-performance model.
  • Staffing and Operations: Partner with the General Manager, Operations to coordinate staffing and operational needs of all operations within the assigned location, including hiring, firing, performance appraisals, transfers, promotions, discipline, and identifying and resolving problems within established company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Conduct industrial truck, safety, hazard communication training, and certification programs, as well as new-hire orientation training.
  • Scheduling and Payment Processing: Schedule associates by analyzing workload, delivery schedules, and partner expectations to estimate associate hours required, and process payments, including credit card payments and checks received.
  • Customer Account Management: Maintain accurate customer account information and billing requirements to keep up-to-date files.
  • Problem-Solving and Coaching: Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist supervisors and associates in solving work problems, and provide guidance, support, and direction to supervisors in the performance of all duties.
  • Associate Development: Coach, train, and develop associates through training programs, providing both informal and formal job performance-based feedback.
  • Accident Reporting and Compliance: Investigate and report all on-the-job accidents and injuries in a thorough and timely manner, and comply with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
Requirements
  • Management Experience: 4-6+ years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting.
  • Training and Development: Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
  • Organizational and Prioritizing Skills: Strong organization and prioritizing skills, with the ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
  • Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.
  • Financial Management: Ability to manage budgets, read and interpret P&L statements, and prepare related management reports.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 75 lbs.
