  • Administer the department's budget, ensuring compliance with financial policies and assisting in capital budgeting processes.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Plan and manage fleet and facilities operations, including vehicle procurement and maintenance.

  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and systems to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Supervise major renovations and construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Assist in the procurement process by developing scopes of work and reviewing contractor proposals.
  • Assign and coordinate crew activities, adapting to workload changes as necessary.
  • Lead safety training sessions and manage emergency action plans for city facilities.
  • Manage the city's fleet through effective tracking and reporting systems, ensuring optimal vehicle use and maintenance.

  • Ensure facilities are equipped with necessary safety materials and conduct accident investigations as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide technical expertise on complex issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of activities and projects.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess an Associate's Degree in a relevant field, along with five years of progressively responsible experience, including at least three years in a supervisory role. A valid driver's license is required, and certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED and as a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional are preferred.

Physical Requirements: The role involves frequent standing, walking, and manual handling, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The position requires outdoor work in various weather conditions and may involve exposure to hazardous situations.
