Environmental Services Specialist

Piper Shores stands as Maine's leading nonprofit continuing care retirement community, dedicated to providing Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Care with a focus on personalized resident care. This position is essential within the Environmental Services team, where the individual will exemplify quality work and ensure that the needs of residents are prioritized within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute project assignments and perform floor and carpet maintenance tasks throughout the facility as designated. Responsible for managing keys to facilitate access to project equipment and assist housekeepers as needed.
- Conduct general cleaning duties in apartments, cottages, communal areas, assisted living spaces, and the health center, including vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting cleared surfaces.
- Lead and guide staff during comprehensive cleaning sessions to ensure adherence to cleaning protocols and equitable distribution of tasks.
- Adhere to safe working practices to prevent injuries to oneself and others.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies in optimal condition.
- Participate in assigned training and educational sessions.
- Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
- Possess a warm and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude towards interacting with seniors.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
