Position Overview: The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the food and beverage department, ensuring high standards of service and quality are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the food and beverage department.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by regulatory agencies concerning sanitation and food subsidies.
  • Address and resolve any complaints related to food quality or service.
  • Manage food and equipment inventories, ensuring proper record-keeping.
  • Schedule and oversee the receipt of food and beverage deliveries, verifying the quality and quantity of products received.
  • Coordinate the assignments of food preparation staff to optimize resource use and ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food preparation and service.
  • Establish performance standards for staff and customer service.
  • Organize staff schedules and assign duties effectively.
  • Review and analyze menus and recipes to assess labor and overhead costs, determining appropriate pricing for menu items.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff, addressing personnel issues, hiring new employees, and evaluating performance.
  • Evaluate work procedures and operational challenges to identify opportunities for enhancing service, performance, or safety.
  • Assess staffing requirements and recruit personnel through various methods.
  • Monitor financial budgets and payroll records, ensuring all expenditures are authorized and within budget.
  • Coordinate the use of facilities for events, negotiating details with members and guests.

Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, such as Server or Server Captain, within a high-end country club environment is required.
