As the leader of the kitchen, you will guide the back-of-house team through the daily operations of the culinary environment, which includes ordering supplies, food preparation, service, sanitation, and closing procedures. We seek dedicated culinary professionals who are not only willing to assist when needed but also capable of delegating responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain clear communication regarding all kitchen matters with management throughout the day.
  • Document daily activities and issues in the manager's log, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings and monthly staff gatherings.
  • Review and acknowledge the weekly memo for updates and changes.
  • Conduct employee evaluations on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure proper communication with the team upon shift completion.
  • Provide honest and accurate reports of both positive and negative occurrences.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines outlined in manuals and memos.
  • Enforce standards for measurements, recipe compliance, cleanliness, and quality assurance.
  • Attend quarterly supervisory meetings to discuss performance and improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Current food management certification is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality and accountability.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the establishment operates year-round.
  • Willingness to relocate to different locations as needed.
  • Availability for a 5-day work week, totaling 50-55 hours.
  • Days off must be scheduled between Monday and Thursday.
  • Vacation time is limited to specific months and must be utilized or forfeited.
  • Proficient in inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with Florida State health regulations is required.
  • Commitment to the hiring policy and timely interview processes.
  • Ability to provide written evaluations for employee performance.
  • Must possess sensory abilities to see, hear, taste, and smell.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English is essential.
  • Capability to stand and move at a moderate pace for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl as necessary.
  • Coordination skills to operate kitchen equipment effectively.
  • Adherence to grooming and dress standards as outlined by company policy.
  • Proficient in all kitchen stations, including expo duties.
