About the Role

Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Operations department, you will play a critical role in the assembly, integration, and testing of our spacecraft and rocket systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and integrate spacecraft and rocket systems, ensuring high-quality and precision craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new systems and components.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or related fields, with a focus on integration and assembly.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including fasteners, fluids, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with precision measuring devices, fabrication shop equipment, and standard mechanical tools.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration.
  • A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration.
  • Experience with assembly in a clean room environment, including handling and installing ESD-sensitive components.
  • Experience with structural/component bonding, including material preparation and adhesive mixing.
  • Experience with orbital tube welding and/or composite structure fabrication.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including liquid oxygen/liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen.
