Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Aerospace Loads Engineer (Team Lead) to join our team remotely in the US. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aircraft loads analysis throughout all phases of the aircraft life-cycle, from initial concept to certification and operational deployment.

Successful candidates will have a track record of developing technical requirements for the Loads discipline and managing them throughout the life-cycle. A solid understanding of aircraft development processes, such as ARP4754, is essential. Proficiency in the Japanese language is also preferred.

This role is remote, with some travel anticipated.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive aircraft Loads analysis across all phases of the aircraft life-cycle, from concept generation to certification and entry into service.
  • Generate and manage technical requirements for the Loads discipline throughout the life-cycle, including capture, maturation, validation, and verification.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines to address technical challenges and harmonize solutions.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Part/CS 23/25/27/29 to develop compliance strategies for Loads-related requirements.
  • Innovate techniques from scratch to support aircraft design, integration, and testing.
  • Quickly adapt to differences in conventional fixed/rotary wing aircraft through collaboration with team members.
  • Apply understanding of rotor blade aerodynamics and rotor dynamics to enhance Loads analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Loads analysis for certified aerospace vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft development processes, including ARP4754.
  • Expertise in Part/CS 23/25/27/29 and experience in developing compliance strategies for Loads requirements.
  • Knowledge of Loads for multi-copters, with an understanding of the certification challenges associated with them.
  • Experience with systems of structures regulations and computing loads for aircraft with fly-by-wire control systems.
  • Comprehension of multi-copter aerodynamics and its implications on Loads requirements and analysis.
