Engineering and Program Management: This position is situated within the Enterprise Program Management (EPM) sector, where we establish technical standards, tools, processes, training, and expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EPM enables all Blue Origin divisions to leverage shared capabilities, hardware, and software, while also aiding in the identification, selection, and training of engineers from both internal and external sources.

As a vital member of a dedicated team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will be responsible for assembling, integrating, and operating the hardware environment utilized for verifying the performance of avionics across various spaceflight systems. This role will provide exposure to multiple facets of spaceflight vehicles, allowing you to contribute significantly to all aspects of Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system development and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembling HIL hardware components.
  • Constructing wire harness and cable assemblies.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electronic assemblies.
  • Integrating avionics and ground support hardware into the HIL systems.
  • Assisting in system testing and validation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with aerospace avionics wire harnesses.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental electronics.
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Skilled in using basic electronic lab testing equipment, including power supplies and handheld multimeters.
  • Basic digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to excel as part of a collaborative team.
  • Capacity to build trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and enhance our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology.
  • Current or expired certifications in harness assembly, crimping, and soldering (IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A 610, and J-STD-001).
  • Experience with 5S practices, such as shadow boarding.

Compensation: The compensation range for this position varies based on location and experience.
