Role OverviewJoin our dynamic team of innovative problem solvers as we write new chapters in the saga of space exploration.
This position is integral to the New Shepard program, a reusable suborbital rocket system crafted to transport astronauts and research payloads beyond the Kármán line – the globally recognized threshold of space.
Through the lens of operational reusability, New Shepard is pivotal in our objective to reduce the costs associated with space access. This role falls under Blue Origin Operations, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security, providing Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin locations.As a vital member of a dedicated team of skilled technicians, you will engage directly with flight hardware for various spaceflight systems.
Your contributions will be crucial in achieving our vision of enabling millions to live and work in space.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be tasked with the manufacturing, assembly, and testing support of hardware for diverse spaceflight systems. This includes:
1. Supporting production and development activities that have a direct impact on rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft.
2. Ensuring the safety and repeatability of spaceflight through meticulous attention to detail and commitment.
3. Leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills to enhance the quality and safety of human spaceflight. Qualifications
We seek candidates with:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace or related sectors.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with wet/dry installation of various fasteners.
- Familiarity with standard mechanical tools and precision measuring devices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously or collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage in constructive dialogue within a team setting.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
