Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Aerospace Loads Engineer (Team Lead) to join our remote team in the US. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aircraft loads analysis throughout all stages of the aircraft life-cycle, from initial concept to certification and operational deployment.

Applicants should have a proven track record in developing technical requirements for the Loads discipline and managing these requirements throughout the entire life-cycle. A solid understanding of aircraft development processes, such as ARP4754, is essential. Proficiency in the Japanese language is also preferred.

This role is primarily remote, with some travel anticipated to Japan for project initiation and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive aircraft Loads analysis across all phases of the aircraft life-cycle.
  • Generate and manage technical requirements for the Loads discipline, ensuring thorough validation and verification.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to address technical challenges across various teams.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Part/CS 23/25/27/29 to develop compliance strategies for Loads-related requirements.
  • Innovate techniques to support aircraft design, integration, and testing.
  • Learn from team members about differences in conventional fixed/rotary wing aircraft.
  • Apply knowledge of rotor blade aerodynamics and dynamics to enhance Loads analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Loads analysis for certified aerospace vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft development processes, including ARP4754.
  • Expertise in Part/CS 23/25/27/29 and experience in developing compliance strategies for Loads requirements.
  • Knowledge of Loads for multi-copters; theoretical understanding if practical experience is lacking.
  • Experience with systems of structures regulations and computing loads for aircraft with fly-by-wire systems.
  • Comprehension of multi-copter aerodynamics and its impact on Loads requirements and analysis.
Skills & Experience

Expertise in Aerospace, Design, Manufacturing, and Materials Properties is essential.
