OVERVIEW:

We are looking for Aerospace System Engineers who specialize in reviewing software code rather than programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop systems architecture, define and decompose requirements, create concepts of operations, and apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles.
  • Manage projects; utilize and deploy tools, conduct technology assessments, and engage in both internal and external collaborations.
  • Plan, execute, and troubleshoot intricate systems integration to validate interface definitions and system requirements for aircraft network systems.
  • Conduct risk management and trade study analyses.
  • Collaborate with other teams to address technical challenges.
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve optimal system design and integration.
  • Evaluate actual results against baseline plans to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with airplane software certification RTCA DO-178.
  • Familiarity with airplane networks and communication systems.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, routing table definitions, and network architecture.
  • Experience with testing procedures, laboratory testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Development Assurance, Certification, and Safety Analysis.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to address urgent issues effectively.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree with two (2) to five (5) years of experience, or an Advanced Degree with less than two (2) years of experience.
  • An accredited degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • Preference for degrees accredited by ABET.
  • Ability to support requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessments.
  • Knowledge of requirements and risk management, as well as trade study analyses.
  • Responsible for contributing to technical work in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
