Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will spearhead the design and execution of innovative technical initiatives within Mass Production, Business Planning, and New Model Development. This role is crucial in meeting or surpassing targets related to Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Morale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Analyze daily reports to identify gaps in safety and quality, developing countermeasures and root cause analyses for continuous improvement.
  • Leverage data analysis and PDCA methodologies to guide and collaborate with various departments in solving complex challenges.
  • Oversee equipment and processes to optimize manufacturing performance while minimizing operational costs.
  • Enhance the skills of yourself and your colleagues through training, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.
  • Prioritize tasks and make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives efficiently.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Research, test, and implement new technologies to enhance equipment and process efficiency.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for investments and expenses to meet cost targets.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, etc.) with relevant experience; 6 years of engineering experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing co-op programs.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software applications.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, open-mindedness, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Demonstrate strong self-motivation and a desire to thrive in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to guide and inspire others towards success.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
  • Capable of multitasking and resolving complex issues through analytical thinking.
  • Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in project management.

Work Environment

  • Engage in a production environment requiring personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Work in proximity to hydraulic oils, cutting lubricants, and various materials.
  • Conduct hands-on investigations and troubleshooting of equipment to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, automation equipment, and quality measurement instruments.
  • Balance time between office tasks and manufacturing line activities.
  • Availability for overtime and potential weekend support as needed.
  • Minimal travel required for domestic and international purposes.
