Job Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner is a key role at Westlake, responsible for supporting leaders and employees with a wide range of HR initiatives, operational processes, and procedures. This position is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about enhancing people's lives through our products and presence in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of company systems, including Workday, SAP, and JDE.
  • Recruit, interview, test, and select salaried and hourly employees for the client group.
  • Administer salary and hourly compensation programs to ensure compliance and equity within the client group.
  • Administer the local bi-weekly payroll process.
  • Administer vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and other employee-related reports requested by management.
  • Prepare new hire and termination documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine termination reason.
  • Represent the organization in employee-related hearings and investigations.
  • Manage company-sponsored events and programs, such as community outreach and service award banquets.
  • Coordinate client group training with the client group and human resources management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM or HRCI certified professional preferred.
  • 3-7 years of progressive HR experience, with 2+ years in a generalist/functional role with exposure to compensation, performance management, training, and labor relations.
