Position Summary:

This role is pivotal in consulting for a designated area, focusing on enhancing organizational and talent capabilities. The incumbent will identify, prioritize, and align Human Resource initiatives with business goals. They will collaborate with the broader Human Resource team to provide exceptional service to both management and employees, reflecting the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer guidance to business leaders within their designated area by proactively identifying challenges and opportunities, driving initiatives, and implementing strategic plans.
  • Engage in various HR initiatives and projects across multiple disciplines, including performance management, cultural development, change management, diversity and inclusion, safety initiatives, and compliance.
  • Facilitate the job evaluation process by assisting in job description creation, conducting evaluations, and determining compensation structures.
  • Implement the talent management strategy for the assigned area, focusing on succession planning, internal talent development, and supporting recruitment efforts to ensure alignment with overall strategic goals.
  • Provide daily performance management support, addressing complex employee relations issues and conducting thorough investigations to ensure consistent application of performance management processes.
  • Collaborate with business units to deliver soft skills training, covering topics such as recruitment, staffing techniques, coaching, disciplinary actions, exit interviews, and employee relations.
  • Analyze data and develop initiatives based on findings, including employee engagement survey results.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Continuously benchmark external regulatory trends and best practices in Human Resources.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires and assimilation for key leadership roles, when applicable.
  • Act as a resource and liaison with various Human Resource Centers of Excellence, including Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management.
  • Support key safety initiatives as needed.

Scope & Impact:

This position is accountable for all Human Resource activities within the assigned locations and serves as a consultant to leadership on HR-related matters. The role is essential in driving and supporting organizational change while advocating for employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven project management skills with a track record of measurable achievements.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Varies by location with 0-2 direct reports.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Operates in a professional office setting, with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
