Position Highlights

This role is essential in determining eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial assessments through telephone interviews
  • Requesting and managing medical documentation
  • Completing and submitting benefit applications
  • Coordinating with applicants and county representatives to ensure case resolution
  • Maintaining accurate records in our database
  • Performing additional related tasks as necessary

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting, or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • A genuine passion for assisting others
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in basic office tasks and computer operations
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Capability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute

Position Details

Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on relevant experience
Employment Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
Work Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule - Monday to Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm & Friday 7:30 am - 12:30 pm
