Position Highlights
This role is essential in determining eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial assessments through telephone interviews
- Requesting and managing medical documentation
- Completing and submitting benefit applications
- Coordinating with applicants and county representatives to ensure case resolution
- Maintaining accurate records in our database
- Performing additional related tasks as necessary
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting, or a combination of relevant experience and education
- A genuine passion for assisting others
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in basic office tasks and computer operations
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Capability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
Position Details
Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on relevant experience
Employment Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
Work Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule - Monday to Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm & Friday 7:30 am - 12:30 pm
