Job Summary:

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Procurement Assistant to join our Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Purchasing Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining supplier contacts, and assisting with the bid process for expense items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all new vendor inquiries and respond to MRO Team phone calls.
  • Maintain a list of potential vendors, new vendor applications, and vendor setup.
  • Prepare and assist with MRO bids, order samples, and organize bid packets.
  • Maintain item communication with vendors, including specification sheets, unit of measure, and packaging requirements.
  • Place and record one-off orders for cash drawer inserts, lever lock rings, and other items.
  • Handle Uniform and Field Apparel calls/emails, reimbursements, and one-off orders.
  • Prepare and maintain Field Apparel Program team member initiates and terms documentation.

Requirements:

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Ability to work multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Requires attention to detail.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
