About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Autonomous Vehicle Operator to join our team at Gatik AI. As an Autonomous Vehicle Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our autonomous vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Safely operate class 3-7 box truck delivery vehicles on assigned routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and maintaining the integrity of the vehicle.
  • Route Data Collection: Manually drive vehicles on assigned routes to gather data in support of future state autonomous operations.
  • Customer Service: Display a customer service orientation and act as an ambassador for the company, providing excellent service to customers and the public.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, including daily routine checks and monitoring of fluid levels, tire pressure, and other critical systems.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist with various projects, such as truck delivery to new locations, testing and/or installing new equipment, and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years (or more) of experience operating straight trucks up to 26-35 ft long in North America, with a valid Class C driver's license. Class A (CDL) driver's license preferred for some customers.
  • Insurability: Must be insurable by our underwriting, including a clean driving record (personal and professional) and background check.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours on both weekdays and weekends.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Experience with customer relationship management is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use smartphone applications and willingness to provide your own mobile device.
