Logistics Process Specialist

Position Overview: The Logistics Process Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing operations within the Logistics department and fostering collaboration across various teams involved in these processes. This position focuses on identifying and rectifying inefficiencies through the application of lean principles.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with established operational protocols for all Logistics activities
  • Facilitate process enhancements within Logistics and associated departments
  • Work closely with Logistics Leaders and Supervisors to drive process improvements
  • Conduct GEMBA walks to gain insights into process workflows
  • Evaluate process inefficiencies and apply lean methodologies for effective resolution
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress
  • Uphold 5S standards in Logistics environments
  • Assist in Lean initiatives and spearhead improvement projects
  • Revise Process and Work Instructions as necessary
  • Perform time studies on Logistics operations

Qualifications:

Education:

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related discipline; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Proven ability to analyze problems and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a reliable attendance record
