As part of our culinary team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving meals in alignment with established menus and dietary requirements.
  • Ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and temperature guidelines.
  • Creating a positive and supportive environment for residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing menus prior to food preparation and ensuring all dietary needs are met.
  • Processing diet changes and maintaining accurate menu records.
  • Communicating food preferences to residents and ensuring availability of supplies.
  • Assisting in inventory management and reporting any safety concerns.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and kitchen equipment.
  • Supporting the Nutrition Services Coordinator in guiding the dietary team.
  • Participating in training and orientation for new staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes independently.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves physical demands that include:

  • Working in varying temperature environments.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.

Vaccination Requirements:

Annual flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season, with provisions for on-site vaccination if needed.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a four-day work week, including weekend rotations.
