Below are some details about the position: BENEFITS: YES PAY: $38 to 52 an hour depending on experience SCHEDULE/ENVIRONMENT: Onsite, 25% travel at most Description: This position will assist in the design and development of programs for material handling equipment. This position understands equipment, business, and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions and participates in all phases of product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, electrical designs, electrical installation support, PLC/HMI program development, commissioning, debugging, onsite support and training, remote support. This position will be responsible for the design, detailing, and support of the controls for material handling systems with the support and guidance of the entire team. Working with Project Managers, this position will take their concepts from plan to reality by creating electrical/controls design schemes and panel layouts. This position will develop detailed manufacturing drawings/schematics, create bills of material, and customer data packages. JOB DUTIES: - Design the control and electrical schemes for material handling systems, including panel layouts, power, control, communication distribution, and schematics - Create bills of material - Assist with installation at customer's facilities - Assist in FAT/Prototype assembly/builds/troubleshooting - Participate in and/or lead R&D projects - Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement projectsMUST HAVES: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related work experience - 2+ years of experience in electrical design engineering - Open to 25% travel - Experience remoting into a system to troubleshoot or program virtually - Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or E-Plan - PLC experience NICE TO HAVES: - ERP knowledge - Material handling experience - Panel building experienceAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
