Location/Division Specific Information

Our PPD Laboratory Services team plays a crucial role in enhancing patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry leaders, and therapeutic specialists. As the global leader in serving science, our laboratory professionals dedicate themselves to accuracy and quality, delivering groundbreaking innovations.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will provide exceptional support, service, reliability, and availability to external kit vendors and internal departments. You will assist in monitoring workload and key performance indicators while analyzing data to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve process deviations related to kit vendor issues.

A Day in the Life:

  • Coordinate, support, and execute logistics and administrative tasks to facilitate departmental operations.
  • Assist in the daily management of study drugs, comparators, and ancillary supplies.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company best practices and client specifications.
  • Monitor inventories and expiration dates of all departmental drug products and medical devices, issuing monthly status reports.
  • Facilitate the procurement of additional supplies as needed.
  • Engage in ongoing training regarding new regulations related to GMP activities.
  • Maintain updated metrics for PPD-owned kit vendors.
  • Participate in projects and meetings related to kitting.
  • Support kit vendor assignments at both order and study levels.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High/Secondary school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant formal academic or vocational qualifications.

Experience

  • Prior experience that equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the role (equivalent to at least 2 years).

In certain cases, a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be deemed sufficient to meet the role's requirements.

  • Proficient in English (both verbal and written).
  • Exceptional client and phone service skills.
  • Understanding of Good Clinical Practices and laboratory principles, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical influences on specimens and results.
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy.
  • Accurate data entry capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to support sound decision-making.
  • Proven negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client protocols and study data.
