WORKING HOURS:
Our operational hours are as follows:
Tuesday-Thursday: 11 AM - 7 PM
Friday, Saturday: 11 AM - 8 PM
Sunday: 11 AM - 5 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all guests and team members, prioritizing hospitality.
  • Become a knowledgeable resource on New Riff products and the broader industry.
  • Exhibit reliability and effective communication while being present for guests and colleagues.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures to ensure seamless service.
  • Work a 5-day schedule that includes 3 bartending shifts and 2 administrative days.
  • Engage with guests regarding our Whiskey Library, flights, and artisanal cocktails.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized bar area.
  • Comply with all responsible beverage service regulations and laws.
  • Assist the Bar Supervisor with inventory management, restocking, and supply ordering.
  • Support the Bar Supervisor in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for exceptional service.
  • Participate in distillery events, tours, and tastings as needed.
  • Manage communication for event inquiries related to the Tower Room.
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality Director and Bar Supervisor to manage internal events in the Aquifer.
  • Maintain a shareable event calendar.
  • Assist with cocktail requests for offsite events.
  • Support the Communication and Events Manager with logistics for offsite events.
  • Communicate effectively with the Bar Supervisor and Hospitality Manager regarding needs and successes.
COMPENSATION: Starting hourly rate of $15 plus tips during bartending shifts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
All bartenders must register for Newport Bar ID in compliance with local regulations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain focused and detail-oriented under pressure.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proactive in creating and communicating improved systems.
  • Experience in cocktail creation and a keen interest in spirits.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role typically involves working on the floor in a fast-paced setting, requiring physical activity such as lifting boxes weighing between 10-40 lbs.
