Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Divisional Credit Officer to join our team at First Interstate. As a key member of our credit risk management team, you will be responsible for overseeing credit risk for one or more regions and/or markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and adjudicate credit requests for existing customers and new prospects, ensuring that credit evaluations properly assess credit risk, policy exceptions, regulatory compliance, and risk rating assignment.
  • Review annual analyses, identify potential and emerging risk, and perform proactive portfolio management through ongoing monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers to ensure effective financial analysis and due diligence efforts.
  • Manage a team of Credit Risk Officers, providing leadership and managerial oversight.
  • Develop and implement credit policy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and bank-wide risk management strategies.
  • Participate in internal loan review, audit, and regulator examinations, as well as forecasting of asset quality indicators to senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or (B.S) from four-year college or university, with a minimum of 15 years commercial lending or commercial credit risk experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending and credit risk management principles, including Federal Reserve lending regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to perform complex financial analysis and spreadsheet modeling.
What We Offer

First Interstate offers a competitive total compensation package, including base salary and benefits. The pay range for this position is $147,065 to $242,656 per year in CO, depending on a variety of non-discriminatory factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at.069 per hours worked), and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
