About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Divisional Credit Risk Manager to join our team at First Interstate. As a key member of our credit risk management team, you will be responsible for overseeing credit risk across various commercial lending segments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Oversight: Provide leadership and managerial oversight to a team of Credit Risk Officers, ensuring effective credit risk management and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate and adjudicate credit requests for existing customers and new prospects, identifying potential and emerging risk, and performing proactive portfolio management through ongoing monitoring.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the establishment and review of credit policy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective credit risk management and risk rating accuracy.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present well-organized, accurate, and complete analysis of recommendations for adjudication, and participate in internal loan review, audit, and regulator examinations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or (B.S) from four-year college or university, with a minimum of 15 years commercial lending or commercial credit risk experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess common sense and logic/knowledge to formulate and strategize options for any given situations, and be proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
