The Security Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the management and execution of the AOC Security Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison, coordinating with various Legislative Branch Organizations on security-related issues.
  • Assist program officials in crafting written procedures that adhere to established policies.
  • Develop, assess, and update comprehensive security policies and procedures.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and enforcement of SCIF security protocols.
  • Oversee the management of a SCIF and the classified information security program.
  • Conduct security briefings and training sessions for personnel with access to classified information, including OPSEC and general security awareness.
  • Participate in security audits and inspections, identifying vulnerabilities and proposing corrective measures.
  • Assist in incident response and reporting, including the investigation of security breaches.
  • Provide guidance and support to security personnel and other staff on security-related issues.
  • Stay informed on updates in security regulations and best practices, advising the organization as necessary.
  • Undertake additional security-related tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines.

Minimum/General Experience:

  • Must possess a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and maintain it throughout the contract duration.
  • A minimum of four (4) years, preferably six (6) years, of relevant multi-disciplinary security experience, including physical security, SCIF management, information security, and policy development.
  • Ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical, executive-level government officials.

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma
